Meet the Team. Know the Mission.

Our Mission

To guide people back to clarity, connection, and sovereignty in a world dominated by screens, isolation, and digital overwhelm.

Our Why

The rise of tech use has outpaced our emotional and relational development. We believe screen addiction and its impact on young people is one of the most pressing and existential issues of our time. We also believe that healing doesn’t happen through restriction, but through realignment, reconnection, and community.

Founder Story – Luke Entrup

Luke Entrup has spent over two decades guiding leaders, seekers, and families through transformation. From boardrooms at high-growth tech companies to fireside circles in the wilderness, his work has always centered on one question: what does it mean to live with clarity, connection, and sovereignty? As a leadership coach, retreat facilitator, and Partner at Evolution, Luke has helped CEOs, parents, and young people align their growth with their deeper values. His coaching integrates modern psychology, contemplative practice, and embodied wisdom, a synthesis shaped by years of meditation, rites of passage facilitation, and his own journey through heartbreak, fatherhood, and renewal. Those who know Luke describe him as grounded, direct, and fiercely compassionate, a guide who tells the truth with love and walks the path he teaches.

The Wonderment Institute represents the culmination of his life’s work. After witnessing the epidemic of digital overwhelm and its impact on families, Luke committed himself to creating a place where people can reset their nervous systems and rediscover what it means to be alive. His vision bridges the rigor of modern behavioral health and coaching with the soul of wilderness-based healing. Rooted in honesty, trust, and integrity, Luke leads a team devoted to restoring balance in an age of distraction. Through immersive, nature-based programs, he invites individuals and families to remember who they are beyond the screen and to return to presence, purpose, and wonder.

  • Kelly Tisdel

    COACH

Rooted in a lifelong dedication to authentic connection, self-awareness, and growth, I have spent over two decades working with youth, parents, and families through teaching, mentoring, and coaching. From my 16 years as a Waldorf class teacher and co-founder of Inner Guide Expeditions — leading transformational wilderness trips and circles for youth — to my current work as a certified life coach and mentor, my focus has always been on creating spaces that help others feel more at home in themselves and connected to their unique essence. Through presence, deep listening, and curiosity, I support individuals in finding their healthiest next step — one that aligns with their truth and capacity. My work guides individuals toward a deeper sense of truth, capacity, and authentic well-being, supporting both teens and parents as they navigate development, relationships, and the unfolding journey of being human.

  • Tom Shelstad

    COACH

Tom Shelstad is the co-founder of Inner Guide Expeditions. For Tom, adventure is a way of life. He grew up in the land of 10,000 lakes, where his family’s cabin was host to the water sports, campfires and wooded hikes that nurtured his love of the outdoors and passion for exploration.

Tom co-founded Inner Guide Expeditions knowing the intrinsic richness in the exploration of both the inner and outer worlds. Wilderness adventures are the perfect place to grow. When people are a little outside of their comfort zone, they are more open to experience life in new ways and see from different perspectives. “Comfort and growth…”, he says, “…rarely take up the same time and place.” Add “play” into the mix, along with the depth of connection, and you have a winning combination reflecting both the breadth and the richness of the human experience.
